A recklessly performed prostate biopsy left me sick and then hospitalized with sepsis. The procedure notes were fictionalized. When called out on the notes they were changed and not any more accurate. Be wary of this fast talker.

Dr. Gandara is an amazing physician. We were asked to see him by an oncologist who was one of his former residents. His compassion and skill are outstanding. We are grateful that we met such a kind and caring physician. He is among the most highly regarded thoracic oncologists in the world and we are grateful for his care.

Dr. Abedi is the consummate professional: a true expert in his specialty who is also kind, attentive and thorough. I especially appreciate that despite his expertise he is not arrogant. He listens and respects my opinions and takes time to explain his thinking in a clear but not condescending manner. I have complete confidence in him and would recommend him without hesitation to any bone marrow transplant patient.

Dr. Dall'Era is an excellent doctor but I was absolutely impressed by his compassion and courtesy. He is the first doctor who has ever thanked me for coming into the medical office on short notice (I was trying to get an urgent appointment and was pleased to get in.). He made a stressful medical situation much easier to handle with his soothing manner.

I developed breast cancer in 2012 and Dr. Chew has been my Oncologist ever since. As strange as it may seem, under the circumstances, I look forward to my appointments with Dr. Chew. She is one of the most warmest and understanding doctors I have ever dealt with. Here professionalism is unsurpassed. Without hesitation, she has my highest recommendation.

You couldn’t ask for a better doctor than Dr. Tuscano. Not only is he an excellent oncologist, but he’s thorough and dedicated to his patients. Despite the nature of his specialty, he’s always upbeat and cheerful. I trusted him with my life and he didn’t let me down, I’ve been enjoying remission for over two years now, thanks to him.

My husband was referred to Dr. Dall'era and we are so pleased with the care he received. During the initial consultation Dr. Dall'era was informative and knowledgeable and was able to explain things to us in a way that was easily understood. Not only did Dr. Dall'era work closely with us throughout the process of surgery and follow up appointments he also has residents that work with him that were also wonderful. We are very happy with the care we received at UC Davis.

Dr. Dall’era is approachable & seems very knowledgeable, however he always has an intern perform the needed tests, while he supervises of course. This however was uncomfortable for my husband. At some point during visits the correct diagnosis was missed. I acknowledge that not have been Dr. Dall’era’s fault.

I couldn't ask for a more competent, empathetic, communicative and brilliant provider. She's warm, insightful, interested, and made me feel like I was the only patient she had. She also referred me to a new primary care who is wonderful too (I was formerly in the Sutter system and after I transferred my care to UCDHS, I felt like I was in a different reality...one of support, choices, and caring). I'm very grateful to have Dr. Welborn and the other UCD docs I've seen on "my team."

Dr. Lara described my diagnosis and treatment and stayed long enough for me to ask all my questions. He did not pull punches and that approach was very helpful for me in dealing with the cancer treatment I had ahead of me. The attitude he displayed was reflected by everyone in the UCD Cancer Center.

After seeing him for 4 yrs I've moved on to someone else who has compassion, concern and excellent knowledge of my type of cancer. Wait time to see Tuscano can be up to 3 hrs from appt time. In 4 yrs I was seen twice within 30 min of my appt time. New doc I'm seen within 10 min. My time is valuable too!
