Regular patient of Dr. Gross for over a decade during which he never once performed or recommended any colorectal cancer screening. After reporting diarrhea for over 2 years, I finally got lucky when I went for an appointment and Dr. Gross was on vacation. The NP that saw me immediately recommended I have a colonoscopy. Results were stage 3 cancer that had metastasized to multiple lymph nodes. Surgery, chemo, radiation, hospital borne infections, etc., etc., and still no real solid prognosis for survival. Had Dr. Gross followed any of the guidelines regarding proper screening from someone who is now 66, I would likely have been treated early on and recovered. Good thing he has retired.

Moving around quite a bit due to career I have had quite a few family practice doctors. And I have to say Dr. Halverson is one of the very best! He listens and listens well! He asks thoughtful questions to better determine what may be happening with your health. He is compassionate and caring and excellent on follow through and checking up. The practice he belongs to has to be one of the most efficient, organized medical offices I have ever encountered. They typically had RX and referrals in the works before you got home after your appointment. Sadly, due to family issues I had to move out of state and leave Dr. Halverson’s care and I sure miss him. My present physician is ok but he is not Halverson. Dr H. really, on a 1 to 10 scale where 10 is excellent, is an 11 or higher. To all of Dr. Halverson’s patients, you should appreciate him because as I now know, you sometimes don’t appreciate what you have until you don’t have it anymore!

I’m a prostate cancer survivor So testosterone weekly injections are critical for me ( as I can not make it myself). If I run out for even two weeks I begin to rapidly lose muscle weight & fall into deep depression. To say nothing of lack of energy. Dr gross cut me off for 6 weeks With no reason whatsoever Suggesting a pill for depression instead of getting my hormones back to functional levels Insisting on multiple blood tests And office visits After 6 weeks I gave up.
