Will never see him again! He denied me after seeing him for 4 years because my insurance changed. He just has to wait to get paid. Thank you for nothing.

Dr. Kwong is always pleasant, patient, professional and, above all, extraordinarily capable. We were referred to him when no one else could resolve my husband's throat problems. (He fixed them!) He explains everything and answers questions without making you feel as if you are wasting his time. Cannot recommend him highly enough!

Review for Erin Walsh, SLP
Speech-Language Pathology
Erin Walsh is kind, caring, very personable, and extremely knowledgeable in her craft. She is always positive and uplifting, and knows exactly what to do to help you. She has a keyboard piano in her office for the vocalists, and she keeps up-to-date with everything related to her field of expertise. She helped me so much and I will be forever grateful!

I had total knee replacement surgery (TKR or TKA) roughly three weeks and three days ago. Dr. Furnish was my pain consultant prior to my surgery. My fear when seeing doctors as a whole - in being a chronic pain patient who’s faced much racism - are physicians who refuse to see my successes and trust my end. Dr. Furnish was attentive, patient, caring and careful. I independently walked (??) my first night! I thank Dr. Furnish for respecting me as a human being and not a nationality and/or chart.

Zero coordination with my PCP and my other specialty care MDs. Narrow-minded focus, not a team player, stovepipe mindset, ignores Primary Care Doctor's input. Poor access, wait times in excess of 30 days for new patients.

He is so good, he was able to depict that my abdominal pain was important and sent me for an MRI where something was found on my liver. I'm a nurse myself and appreciate his time and to help with a diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Docherty.

Pain Medicine
Saw Dr Furnish in 2014 he was nice & understood my pain & prescribed different opioids to treat my severe chronic pain cond’s, I then saw him 2 yrs later (late 2017) and he and a Resident went off, telling me I must come off these drugs (after being treated at UCSD for over 10 years, abiding by all rules, etc) they wrote false info in visit report. it was clear they were on a mandate by UCSD mgmt to reduce opioid use among paitients, period. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOUR IN PAIN!

Review for Jason Hooper, PT

I have had several appointments with Dr. Jason Hooper relating to an ankle injury. I have learned several ankle stretching and strengthening exercises during these sessions and have performed the exercises at home as well. His instruction and encouragement has been very helpful in the rehabilitation process.

I visited Dr Furnish for a pre-op consultation. She has Ankylosing Spondylitis and Fibromialgia and was having diverticulitis surgery. Dr Furnish took his time listening, then we discussed pain management during and post-op. While no one wants surgeries, this was the best managed pain that she has ever had. I highly recommend him!

She is the best GI doctor ever! I have a very complicated GI history and have seen multiple doctors in different health systems. I am so fortunate to have found her. Dr.C is by far the most attentive, caring, compassionate doctor I have ever met. She always listens to my needs, never rushes, spends so much time to address my concerns (and believe me I am not a easy patient and made her late to see her next patient already 2 times :-(). I am already feeling much better and owe this to Dr.C.

Pain Medicine
Does not care about people. Refused to help me with my chronic pain due to many automobile and motorcycle accidents and on the job accidents. I've been in pain for over 20 years and he did not care! I cannot take otc meds due to being on a blood thinner (which is very dangerous to mix with otc meds), and he refused to give me the meds that have been proven to help me. I now can hardly even get out of bed and he just doesn't care!

Her UCSD office is way behind the times. It takes weeks to get test results and months to get an appointment. This is not a good place to go if you are actually sick and want it resolved in a timely fashion.
