My experience with Dr. Tan was unpleasant. He is arrogant and a poor listener. My reconstruction is asymmetrical. I regret making the choice for reconstruction as the outcome is poor and not worth the pain and recovery time. Very disappointed.

Dr. Kruper is phenomenal and I can’t say enough positive things about her! She is a genius who you wish was you’re best friend haha. On 11/05/21 I was diagnosed with stage 4 her2+ Er/pr- breast cancer at the age of 29, two years after becoming a mom. My BC was in my right breast and had spread to my lymph nodes and there were also bone lesions found on my lumbar and pelvis. I have no family history of BC and I live a very healthy lifestyle so my diagnosis came as a complete shock. After my diagnosis I was immediately referred to Dr. Kruper by my obgyn at Hoag hospital and thank God for that! I am very grateful that I was able to get in to see Dr. Kruper as she is a very busy surgeon and highly sought after. After having another (highly reputable) surgeon tell me she wouldn’t do surgery on me because there was no point (since my cancer was stage 4) Dr. Kruper was a breath of fresh air and was on the same page as my oncologist (who is also at City of Hope) who was absolutely on board

During Numerous Visits with the Good Dr. We have found that she gets right to the point and is well versed in the manner in which she presents herself. She will answer all Questions that you ask of her with no Ifs - And - or Buts about it. We definitely got a Winner when we got Dr.K

I saw Dr Fakih as a second opinion and I was so glad I did. He was very informative. My first Oncologist didn't even show me the image or where the cancer was or even a prognosis. I left my first Oncologist with so little information. Dr Fakih was very helpful, experienced, and educated and gave me straight information that is so much more helpful in making my decisions related to Chemo etc. I didn't have a problem with his bedside manner at all. In my opinion is a very very good doctor. I have Stage 4 Colon Cancer that has spread throughout my abdomen and is too advanced for surgery or HIPEC. My first doctor never told me any of that. I wasted my time with my first Chemo - that the first doctor recommended. I am so glad that I drove over an hour to see Dr Fakih. I don't why I would see a doctor to lift my spirits - I want the facts and help planning my decisions. I don't need a pep talk from a doctor.

Dr. G. Singh did Surg on my mom, he removed a cyst from her pancreas before it turned into cancer, Surg went great she was starting her rehab and out of the blue she crashed, back to ICU, and more Surg, we didn't know if she would make it, low and behold THANKS to the awesome & incredible care from Dr. Singh and his team, to the nursing Staffs in ICU & 4 West she made it. She will be 84 in 3 months. I can't say enough about how wonderful they treated her and gave her back to us!! Dr. Singh, his team, and nursing staffs in ICU, & 4 West deserve more then a 5 star rating!!!

I have been a patient of hers for about 13 years and am extremely happy with her attention to my health both body and mental awareness! She explains any test results needing treatment in a way that I can understand and thus participate in the course of action to the condition! She's a beautiful person inside and out. I'm lucky to have been referred to her by my oncologist!!

Poor bedside manner and will make you feel hopeless. Seems to gear his conversation in leading patients towards trials. CEA in 0-5 range and he made me feel terminal. He may be good but I wouldn’t know it. It would help to know if he has actually helped someone.

I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy. I’m in treatment for stage 4 cancer and he questioned how I knew I had cancer. It was very clear that he had not reviewed my chart, but was more than willing to perform a risky test. I feared for my life and opted to cancel. He was very defensive and belittling from the first words out of his mouth.

Review for Dr. Myo Htut, MD
Oncology
Reply
We saw Dr. Htut for my husband's newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. This was meant to be a second opinion appointment. We are happy with the oncologist currently treating him but were looking forward to hearing the expert insight from a specialist from City of Hope. The staff was fine, helpful and supportive. However, we waited for Dr.Htut for an hour. That would've been OK but the first thing he said was that he had a new patient scheduled exactly at the time he entered the exam room. My husband was a new patient too, wasn't he?! Dr.Htut's approach was not personalized, all he said is available online. He repeated that multiple myeloma is not a curable desease multiple times. I think any doctor, especially an oncologist, should be more sensitive without compromising objectivity and facts. The visit was supposed to last 90 minutes, but lasted just an hour. We paid $1, 138 for it as it's not covered by our plan. Deeply disappointed.

My mom is a patient of Dr. Fakih and although she just recently began treatment for stage 4 colon cancer, we already feel very comfortable that we're in good hands. Dr. Fakih comes very recommended by his peers and it's no wonder once you begin working with him. He's been very responsive to my mom's needs and has demonstrated that he cares about her well being. We're lucky to have found him.

Dr. Li is a wonderfully kind and compassionate doctor who spent an hour explaining my tumor and the proposed treatment. He is at the forefront of new treatments and has gotten me care not available at home even though I live in a very large city. I highly recommend him and his team.

Had a RALP from Kawachi in 2011 at age 54. I saw him only at the initial consultation and morning of surgery. A few days post surgery, when I could move a bit, I was surprised to find 6 incisions about 25mm each and one about 60mm. During my 3 night/4 day hospital stay, Kawachi never checked in and his resident came by only 2 times. Hospital staff was great! Eighteen months later, PSA returned, should have just had radiation. On the plus side, he didn't kill me.

Dr Gray is an excellent doctor. I was very anxious about my surgery. He has the kindest voice and I started to feel more relaxed immediately upon speaking with him. Afterwards, I came out of surgery without feeling drugged or over-medicated. There were no negative side-effects at all. I highly recommend Dr Gray.
