Dealing with this office AND Capiendo MD has been nothing short of a nightmare! I’ve been having ‘issues’ as a result of a radical surgery procedure (14 hours) that was in response to cancer. Capiendo MD decided to do another procedure to rectify my issues. It took a month to get that date confirmed. Only until the day before my scheduled procedure for did someone tell me that the facility would not be covered! Sadly, after waiting a couple more months, the procedure didn’t help in the least after which the doctor put her hands up in the air and basically said there was nothing else she could do. One of my Oncologists, at Cedars-Sinai, suggested that I visit a different Physician, Phillip Fleshner MD. This Doctor immediately scheduled tests to diagnose the problem. Capiendo MD NEVER considered these tests which immediately identified the complication. I struggled, in excruciating pain, for months while seeing Capiendo MD! I, wholeheartedly, would NOT recommend this practice!

Dr. Hoffman misinformed me about my condition, told me I would need a surgical procedure to get rid of my condition and suggested I do the procedure as soon as possible since he would be leaving on vacation. Thankfully, I did not follow his advise and did not go through with the procedure and my condition did go away on its on. Also, they charged $185 just for stepping into their office, $250 for the checkup, and $30 for blood work that was never done.

I preface with 4 words, Bewsre! Stay far away! Instead of curing my brother of colon cancer with a simple procedure he damn near killed him. Stay away! He has no right to be called Dr.

What a racket. This health care provider is full of scam artists. They tried billing my insurance $72,623 for a routine outpatient service! I was initially quoted by LA Colon - Dr. Gary Hoffman - that the all in cost for the surgery would be "less than $600 out of pocket". There were no complications or extra services rendered during the procedure. I was forced by LA Colon to reach out to each "service provider" to receive quotes for the total cost. Side note, the fact that my insurance and I would be giving LA Colon thousands of dollars for this procedure and they couldn't even spend 5 minutes putting together a formal "all-in" quote is insane and a huge red flag. I should have left their office immediately. When I contacted La Peer, they told me their service fee was "$340.20". I made this payment at the surgery center the day of my procedure. I was then billed a further $68 by their pharmacy when I left, for painkillers - again was not included in all the quotes I had received. A

He's a good doctor - however, his bedside manner is awful - rude, conceited and hurries through the appointment. Beware if your procedure is at his surgical center. He is covered by insurance but his surgical center is not. Also, do not let him process your paperwork on your behalf. The office charges you and per their contractual agreement with some insurance companies - they're not allowed to. There are many very qualified gastroenterologists in LA - go find another one.

100% would recommend Dr. Firoozmand to family and friends. I am 25 years old and cannot begin to express how grateful I am that this doctor crossed my path, finally, after 6 years of undiscovered diagnosis from several doctors, Dr. Firoozmand was able to get to the bottom of my continuous illness and cure me. Again, I am very thankful to have found this doctor.

Terrible Experience. He spend the least amount of time in the room with you. He does not explain well and I am bleeding everytime I go to the bathroom and he tells me that this is normal. REALLY??? This is the worst doctor ever. STAY AWAY.

When I went to the ER at Cedars Sinai I had no idea I had appendicitis and no doctor to treat me?.Cedars recommended him and it was an answer to my prayers. Dr. Firoozmand was an angel in disguise and will recommend him to all my family and friends. Thank God he was available to me. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor and surgeon. Thank you for the excellent care and your excellent assistants in surgery.
