Very compassionate man. Explained procedure in detail. Highly recommend.
Horrible doctor at UAB. Did not care for patient or family. Will never go to UAB due to unproffesionalism, lack of empathy or concern when my father was ill.
Dr. Denney always has your best interest at heart. His warm smile and friendly compassion partners well with his perfection and excellence to give the most thorough care possible. He makes sure that you get the best care available and that you stay comfortable through the process. You are not just a patient but treated like family??
gives you plenty of time to discuss issues, makes you feel very comfortable
I was seen quickly. Seemed like a nice doctor. Examined quickly. Then got threw out quickly.I have never been in more pain in my life but he wouldnt admit me. I even went to uab highlands the doctor said he couldnt admit me either because the doctor that seen me allready overrides him so his hands were tied.I was in so much pain anytime I moved I cried.I had a car wreck 3 months prior and had surgery on leg and sholder and they were great.I was in more pain this time but they threw me out.
I saw Dr. Fitzwater for my initial visit with the Obstetrix Medical Group, he was pleasant and kind.Very thorough in his explanations, treatment recommendations and expected plans for the future. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of Maternal Fetal Medicine care
I've seen a few other providers in this group at different locations and Dr. Fitzwater exceeding my expectations by far. He was very personable and gave us the perfect amount of information. He's the best physician I've seen in this group!!
She was very nice, she explained everything about my blood work, very thorough, very good listener, as it turned out I didn't need to see her again which is a good thing, but I would recommend her to everyone who needs her!!! Loved her!
She lights up the room as soon as he walks in. She listens and cares. She is great with my daughter. Great doctor.
I would not use Dr. Gordon again and I do not recommend her to others that have similar conditions. In my opinion her arrogance gets in the way of her providing substantive medical care.
I was recently treated by Dr. Gordon upon on semi-urgent referral. She was incredibly patient and genuine in her assessment and concerns. I ultimately had surgery the very next morning, and got relief of several symptoms I was dealing with. Her bedside manner is superb, and the entire staff has been more than accomodating. Highly recommend her or the other surgeons she is oartners with.
She was very rude and had no concern of what problem I was having. I've never in my life had a doctor speak to me the way she did and I'm older than she is.
I made sure I got her name, because no one will ever get a referral to her from me. In any profession, you have to humble yourself and never prejudge a human being. That's one lesson Dr. Goss did not learn.
Dr.Gruman has been my internist for several years and as far as I'm concerned he's probably the best doc I've had. He's prompt, knowledgeable, has a good bedside manner, takes his time and explains things well. His staff is second to none. His receptionist,Marie,is excellent!Answers all questions promptly and rarely ever has to put you on hold.If you're looking for a good doctor,I highly recommend Dr.Gruman!
Skilled surgeon c4-c5 fusion BAD with follow ups. I was scheduled and billed for SURGEON appointments, however, after my surgery I only saw the Nurse Practitioner AND there is a major difference on my insurance policy in terms if co-pays and billing. Also, Dr. Gordon said I have NO restrictions, yet I still cannot pick-up a gallon of milk (too weak) nor can I type or do laundry without having muscle spasm and depending on muscle relaxers from a neurologist from a completely different group!
Dr Leath is wonderful. He is highly trained, intelligent and up to date on current treatments and involved in cutting edge advances involving newer therapies and studies. Just as important, to me, is his kindness, willingness to take extra time to explain treatments and to answer my long list of questions. He is very personable and always asks about my family.
Dr. Bell has a wonderful "bedside manner." He is great with prescribing. I am very glad I started being his patient.
I was referred to Dr. Bell after my primary doctor left the Kirklin clinic. I have seen the nurse practitioner and Dr. Bell and was very satisfied with both. Dr. Bell listened and did not rush in and out like others I have used. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a new provider.
Dr. Balkovetz has gently motivated me to make improved health choices. I was on 3 blood pressure medications, am now on 1 and we are discussing cutting it in half. It seems that she wants her patients to be in charge of their own health; she is merely the guide to help them achieve their goals of staying healthy or getting healthy. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Richard Karam is a confident and skilled surgeon. He listens and communicates with patients very well, explaining procedures pre- and post-op with patience and knowledge.
Dr. Ellington was fabulous. My OB/GYN recommended him, even though he works at another hospital (when I asked her why, she said he was the best). Before, during, and after my surgery, he went above and beyond what I expected. I never felt rushed; he explained everything I should expect. He called himself, over a weekend, to let me know what time to arrive. Afterward, he called me, while he was out of town, to give me test results. Few doctors give the kind of personal attention that he does.
GREAT TO TALK TO AND KNOWS ANYTHING FOR YOU TO GET EDUCATED ON IN THIS AREA. PICK HIM
I was referred to Dr. Ellington by another physician. Dr. Ellington and Ms. Tina Bearden, his assistant was more than attentive to my medical needs. Dr. Ellington would return my phone calls when on vacation with his family. He patiently answered all of my questions to my understanding. He has a beautiful bedside manner. I recommend Dr. David Ellington to family and friends without any hesitation.
Dr. Ellington is an excellent doctor. Took time to explain my surgery, what to expect. Even after I went home from the hospital, he continued to call me at home to make sure I was doing okay. During follow up visits, he has never made me to feel that he is in a hurry. Always spends plenty of time with me and answers all my questions. Nurses and staff are always very friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. Ellington.
He repaired my left eye that was badly tore by the eye lid he did a remarkable jod with not much eyelid skin to work with but he did & was able to stich it. He was very patient & careing i was very comfortable with him repairing my eye he must be a God fearing man because God dispatch an angel from Heaven to guide his hands. Thank you Dr. Dupree & May God richly bless you & your family. Accident 1/30/16 lake Charles la. Oak park memorial hospit ER. Thank you also. J.D.
Dr. Erbil really takes time to show her patients she really care. She did not rush me out the room but actually took the time to explain treatments and next plan of action. She really treated me like I was family and not just another nagging patient. It's Hard to find physician that care as much as she does lately. If I could she would be physician of the year. Thanks Dr. Erbil!
over 2 hour wait beyond appointment time. not patient friendly
Should of sent this a long time ago but did not know this was available. Dr. Krontiras is a very professional, caring, awesome doctor and surgeon. I was diagnosed in 2009 with Breast Cancer and had my left breast removed. Dr. Krontiras has seen me every year since then and I was released last year because I made my 5 year mark. I am looking forward to my 6th. With God, Dr. Krontiras, Dr. Forero I am alive today and cancer free. I love you Dr. Krontiras
Dr. Kolettis performed a bipolar vaporization processor on me in december of 2015 - i would highly recommend this if you are having problems with your prostate. His office is first class - everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Dr. Kolettis is very informative and explains everything to you. You know just what to expect when having your processor.
Went above and beyond to address my problems.
Very kind and warm physician.
I've seen Dr. Cannon twice. Once for a carbuncle on my leg and another time for colonoscopy. She was kind and empathetic both times. Very skilled and knowledgeable. The nice finishing touch the last time was her calling personally to give me the benign pathology results from my colonoscopy.
Excellent! Dr Carter took time to evaluate my problem and fully explain treatment options. Also willing to work with my chiropractor!
I was referred to Dr Ashwander because I had a bad infection of the grand toe of right foot. He treated the toe with the latest wound care. He asked for a MRI of it...revealed infection in the bone. We talked about my options. We concluded that it had to be amputated. Surgery was a success. He is very involved in my wound care...I am extremely impressed with his vascular training. He then performed an Angiogram. his bedside manners is wonderful. Very caring, concerned. I highly recommen
Dr. Arbuckle is a very good and caring doctor. She listens to all my concerns and makes me feel like she actually cares about my health. I would recommend her to anyone.
Rude, doesn't read information if you hospitalized would not recommend him. Out all the doctors I have been to he has to be the worst. The staff is wonderful he just RUDE. WENT twice want see him ever.
Dr. Arend is a kind and considerate doctor. She and her whole staff made me feel safe and confident in their abilities to take care of me at a most stressful time in my life. Her compassion and dedication and knowledge are what impressed me the most.
I went in to get my meds refilled cause of my insurance changed and I had gone to him before. What a mistake.. I guess he only refills meds at one per visit.. Other words if your on more then one med you must go back several times to get them refilled. I have been on these meds for year for blood pressure and etc,,, I don't understand why its so hard to get him to refill them, I will be sure to let others know this as I work in Health care myself.
He seems to enjoy educating his patients on any topic that affects his patient's health and interest. He also provides an opinion on any issue. I have had a number of health issues, and he is very good at anticipating problems and dealing with problems quickly. I have CAD, bladder cancer and prostate cancer. Of course, I have specialists in each area, but Dr. Herndon helps me make sense of it all.
Dr. Harms is extremely focused on giving his patients the best care. He makes you feel comfortable and welcomes any questions you may have. He follows through with test results and keeps his patients informed about results.
He provided a diagnoses of early crohn's disease immediately after performing a colonoscopy, then recommended a genetic test to confirm his diagnosis to a lab in CA even though I'd never had symptoms of crohns and the test confirmed I likely didn't have a problem. The OON test cost me over $700 when an in-network test was available locally; when questioned, his nurse (Cathy) said the test wasn't available locally (but it was) and the practice did not provide financial relief for their mistake.
I been seeing Dr. Holdridge for about 6 months for headaches related to a Mild Traumatic Brain injury. I was suffering from severe headaches for over a year. Dr Holdridge took the time needed to figure out how to relieve my pain and make it manageable. She takes the time to listen to you and is always available on my chart ( texting) to answer any questions or get you in the office for help. I have and would recommended her to anyone with headache issues.
Dr. Holdridge was great! Her office staff was friendly & on time. Dr. Holdridge's demeanor immediately put me at ease. She was so patient. She listened to all my concerns, took the time understand my problems & addressed each one of them. We discussed a few options for treatment & developed a plan moving forward.
I don't feel Dr. Holdridge really listens to her patients and the symptoms they are experiencing. Her bedside manner needs some attention; she comes across as fake and very unsympathetic. She also fails to stay educated on the side effects of the medications she is prescibing and looks almost surprised when asked. Her patients should not have to look that information up themselves. Not at all impressed.
Dr. April Irons is the BEST! My daughter has been going to her since she was 6wks old, and now she is 3. Dr. Irons is heaven sent to our family, b/c she is not in the profession just for the $$, but for the love of your child. She seen issues with my daughter when she was just 5months old, and we got her the therapy that she needed, and she is coming along great. She takes her time with you, and make sure that when you leave everything is covered. If you need a GREAT MD 4your child, she is the 1
My mother has multiple myeloma and we have spent many hours, days, weeks at UAB under the care of Dr. Shelton. She is always so caring and informative. Now, my mother is getting sick again and they only part about this that gives me peace of mind is that Dr. Shelton will be there guiding us through.
WORST DOCTOR EVER...ARROGANT...DOES NOT LISTEN WHEN YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.
Dr.Irons is a wonderful doctor. My grandson Ethan loves her.
Dr. Nimmagadda saw my son last year back in November 2015...I want to warn anyone seeing her at Children's Psychiatric Services that the business office has no idea what they are doing. I was told that Dr. Nimmagadda was in my insured network and then started getting bills after my sons third visit. Each session was over 200 dollars!!! I cancelled all future appointments and had to start my sons treatment all over. I was not satisfied with my experience...very poor communication!!
Dr. O'Byrne saved my mother's life. He is a super physician
Great doctor. I have recommended him to a friend.
Kept putting me on medications that I had tried before with no results, then when I told him I was going to seek help elsewhere, he told that the medications that he had me on were shown to be ineffective for bi-polar disorder wanted to try a different class of medications
If I could give less than one star, I would. Saw him for a few months and was put on Effexor. He gave me a four month RX while I changed jobs so that I wouldn't have to miss any doses, because Effexor is known for having immediate withdrawals and I had expressed my worry about this.
Cut to four months later when I run out and call FOUR times to try to get an RX just until I receive my insurance card next week, he doesn't call it in, and now I am going through the exact side effects I expressed
I would definitely recommend Dr. McCullough. Very nice person and seems to really care about your situation. He took the time to answer all my questions and was very knowledgeable. Extremely satisfied with my visit.
Wonderful communication skills
Dr. Mahaffey is incredible. He is a caring professional with a wealth of knowledge. He has helped my mother in immeasurable ways.
Long wait is only complaint explains every aspect of disease never in a rush answers all questions would recommend to family and friends
Easy to talk to and my son feels he finally has a doctor who listens to him. My wife and I feel the time to drive into the city is well worth it.
Great doctor very helpful in understanding and reviewing procedures.
I am greatful we were able to be seen by Dr. Martinez when I had to take my child to the Children's of Alabama ER. It it not easy having to take your child to the ER for mental health reasons but Dr. Martinez was very respectful and my child felt heard. He took the time educate me and my husband about my child's condition and treatment options.
Dr. Martinez takes the time to listen.
No 0's? His staff does his dirty work, i.e. relays messages. He would not/has not schedule(d) an appt. for me, after 5 wks, for horrendous side effects from medication he prescribed. Went to GP 4X for symptoms: couldn't "catch" my breath 2X, an ultra sound for abdominal pain, heart palpitations, and tomorrow an ultra sound on my thyroid gland (depleting iodine). Afterwards, found out these are typical w/ these meds. Found my previous Dr. so back on track w/ meds with NO side effects.
He was very short and rude with me and acted as tho he didn't think i knew anyting about my own child.
I dont think he is specialized to treat kids.
my father had cancer, doctors kept offering treatments but no one asked my father what he wanted. During the first visit Dr. Mangat held my fathers hand and said I know you're scared, tell me what your wishes are. My father tearfully asked him to get rid of his suffering. Dr. Mangat said we can't cure everything god has a different plan sometimes but we can get rid of the suffering We focused on comfort, my father passed away peacefully without any fear. He was an angel sent for my dad. God bles
Terrible doctor I don't think he listened to me or knew anything about the meds he prescribed me because they didn't help me at all and in many ways made me worse off
Dr Thompson made our experience very personal when I was in critical condition. She related a related an experience of her own that day. It meant a lot to me. I'll never forget her.
I hope she has a private practice, because I will go. She was my Dr. last night at MedHelp on 280 and she's terrific. Really calm and thoughtful. She asked a lot of questions and was very thorough. I was in for what I thought was the flu (it wasn't), but she talked with me about options and what drugs would do different things and then let me choose a course of treatment.
I was extremely impressed with the efficiency, patience time spent listening and explaining my condition- that dr Salerno exhibited earlier this week. She and her staff went the extra mile by setting up a referral appointment and worked with cvs to prescribe a medicine my insurance would cover. I would highly recommend Dr Salerno and the Hoover/Inverness clinic location.
Outstanding medical doctor. Very knowledgeable, very competent, very personable and caring. He explained everything he was going to do and after he did I had no concerns. I knew I had the right anesthesiologist for my surgery. You could not do better than Dr. Mott on your surgical team!!
Dr Meador was very patient and kind. He went over all my tests results showing every detail while explaining what they all meant and answering all of my questions. He has been very responsive thru UAB's patient portal and so helpful with anything that has arisen. I cannot recommend him enough. I trust what he says and feel like my diagnosis isn't the end of the world anymore. He's amazing!
If you enjoy being 100% ignored for weeks on end during a serious/dangerous situation, then Dr. Meador is for you!
I had a great experience with Dr. Momaya. He is extremely professional, took time to answer all my questions, and very well accomplished. Would highly recommend Dr. Momaya for any young athlete.
very condescending and unprofessional
Dr. Monkemuller was recommended by my doctor in the Shoals area of North Alabama to remove pre-cancerous polyps because of their delicate location. I will be seeing Dr. Monkemuller again in January, 2017 for a further checkup. He and his staff were wonderful and kind. I would highly recommend him to any and all of my friends and family.
He didn't just tell me about my tests results he took the time to show me my tests and to go over them with me. He listened to everything I had to say was very caring. He was never in a rush.
He took a lot of time explaining what was going on abd he did it in a non-judgemental way. Found him to be caring and he listened to what the patient had to say.
He is very knowledgeable in regards to my elbow injury and provided me easy to understand insights. Very friendly and easy to talk to.
Wonderful bedside manner. Listens to everything and looks at all previous medical history. Explains thoroughly.
Straightforward and honest. Very approachable physician.
Dr. Patton is an outstanding professional who I highly recommend. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable, as well as sensitive and caring. We are fortunate to have her professional expertise available to us at UAB.
She is taking care of me of her 12 years .
Dr. Patten spent about 15 seconds checking on his patient. He didn't seem to care about concerns that were expressed, simply stood there smiling and said she was going to be just fine. I was totally unimpressed and even disappointed by Dr. Patten's lack of professionalism and demeanor.
Dr Powell is the doctor you've always longed for that has it all! She treats you like her only patient. She is very thorough, explains everything in terms you can understand, has a very warm personality and CARES about helping you. If you have issues outside normal follow up timeframes, her staff works you in. The staff is the best. If there were 10s permitted, she'd certainly deserve a 10.
Dr. Sullivan is amazing! He is never in a hurry and always willing to take the time to educate. He is so down-to-earth and easy to talk to. Premier Medical is very fortunate to have him on their team! His nurses are also amazing and so easy to work with. His whole team is just very caring and compassionate.
I was sent for testing and told I would be called with the results. They did not call and when I called they said I needed to come in to see him for the results. There was nothing in the results that I needed to be there to get. They did not get in any hurry making me miss more work than I needed to. I once again needed test. when they set them up they did not even ask me what would work for me. they just set it up like I did not work.
Dr. Sullivan listens to his patients, explains x-rays, and discusses treatment options in detail. I highly recommend him, along with his sweet staff!
The staff on the phone for initial appointment was excellent. He saw me as as scheduled and I did not have to wait long. He was kind, responsive to my questions and listened to my complaints!! I will definitely follow up with him for my care,
Very thorough, listens to your concerns, spends time to explain
Awesome! Gentle and patient worth kids. Put my mind at ease
I began using Dr. Sullivan when my doctor retired. I have been so happy with the way he explains in detail with x-rays where my problems are and how he will be treating it. He shows a real concern for me and I appreciate that.
He was very friendly, took his time and explained everything
Dr. Sullivan was wonderful with our 3 year old son. He was very friendly and talked to him in a way that he could understand. I can't say enough good things! We would definitely recommend Dr. Sullivan to others.
I highly recommend Dr. Sullivan. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything and put you at ease. His staff is fabulous too.
Was looking for a new ENT when mine retired. Was impressed by Dr. Sullivan's knowledge and his ability to relate to me. Listened to my concerns and addressed each one. Plan to continue using him.
Dr. Sullivan expresses sincere concern for the total health issues (not just ENT issues) of me as a patient, and how the present issues pertain and relate to my overall health condition.
His method of treatment portrays to me a genuine person willing to listen and allow questions until I can comprehend the issues. He is a person sincerely enjoying helping others!! Caring for others is his talent!
I am grateful for him and his expertise and wish him the very best in his efforts!
he is great.
Una doctors may eficaz y con una entrega magnifica para sis pacientes . me gusts LA dedication con LA que cuidate mi salud me siento que estoy en las mejores manos.
Dr. Smith delivered my third baby at UAB and was wonderful! I was hoping for a third natural birth and she was encouraging and professional. I am nothing but pleased with Dr. Smith.
Dr. Singh is an excellent physician. She's compassionate and thorough. I trust her knowledge as a medical professional. Her bedside manner is one of the best I've encountered in my 41years of medical care as a chronically ill patient. A physician that is confident enough to really listen to their patients, is a blessing. She has been one of mine. Her expertise is well worth the 65 mile trip from Tuscaloosa that l take to visit her.
Dr. Snyder has been my internal doctor for many years. Very detailed and great bed side manners. Responds quickly when you have questions. Definitely a 5+!
Dr. Singh flat out does not care about her patients. I question her competence as a doctor, as well as her ability to communicate with people. She has no compassion and is a mean person.
Dr. Wait was very thorough and spent time asking about my general health. She went beyond what people would think to be "normal" time spent and thoughtful attentiveness to me as her patient. I am so happy to have found such a wonderful doctor!
I really enjoyed the visit with Dr. Warriner, it was my first time seeing her because my previous provider relocated. When she came in she greeted me and begin the visit as if she had been following me for a while, it was clear that she had reviewed my chart and labs before coming into the room. She listened to what I had to say regarding my help and offered suggestions based on my needs and what i wanted and so things to do moving forward. Great bed side manner.
I just had my annual appointment this morning besides St. Vincents being impossible to navigate I had an AMAZING experience with her plus I didn't even have to wait. She is so much better than the doctor I saw at Brookwood who put me on an unnecessary medication. 10/10 never seeing another OB besides Dr. Wait again, she was so great
This doctor is such a gift! I have referred several family members and friends to her and they all feel the same. She always makes sure to communicate with me in a way I understand which I appreciate more than I can say
Dr. Wait is very professional, thorough, and pleasant! I went for my annual, and she made me feel so comfortable. I rarely leave reviews, but she definitely deserves one! Would recommend her to anyone!
..I would ...she is very good at making you understand what's going on ....makes you feel comfortable in your situation ...very personal
He was the MD that was observing a Stress Test being given to my 11 year old daughter, who has been diagnosed with Dysautonomia with exercise intolerance. Our Pediatric Cardo doctor sent her over to UAB for stress test and I could not have been happier with Dr. Urthaler and the way he treated my scared daughter, not really understanding what she was being asked to do. He was very knowledgeable and caring with us as her parents, but really answered her questions also. I would highly recommend!
