He is caring. Know who to give you surgery. Wonderful doctor!
been to a lot of doctors for joint problems doctor Standeffer is by far the best
Pathetic. The doctor was with me for less than 2 minutes, did not look at X-rays provided by other doctor or take new ones, touched my injured knee 1 time in an area that was not the primary pain source, then told me with physical therapy I would be fine. Did not give me the time of day and even when I corrected him about the location of the pain, I was ignored and referred to physical therapy. I was referred for a possible torn meniscus and told I only had a bruised knee after no examination.
Dr. Ikard Jr. Is not only a great Dr. He is a caring .and understanding person. He talks to you and always considers your your concerns. He is never in a hurry and always makes you feel like you are his only patient.
I highly recommend Dr. Buckley! He explains his diagnosis, the treatment options, the risks of treatment, and probable outcomes. He will explain issues in as much detail as they need with great bedside manner.
I had a torn ACL in my right knee. I found that Dr. Thompson was very thorough with his assessment but felt he lacked bedside manner perhaps due to his age. He kept referring to my age (65) and how most people my age (as if I had one foot in the grave!!) did not have their ACL repaired but rehabbed it with exercise. I informed him that I was a very young active 65 yr old and I wanted the surgery!! He is a very good surgeon. Office staff not friendly and overbooked appts. No room to sit.
"Down to earth" manner makes you feel at ease. Has done 2 total knee replacements on me within a year and both have been successful. Highly recommend Dr. Atkins.
He is not informative. He just recommended me to physical therapy and when I finished I let him know that I was still having pain and he did nothing else. He is not informative at all. If you want to know whats wrong with you. Don't go to him because he want give you a concrete answer.
Waited two hours to be seen and he spent maybe 10 minutes with me. He expressed that he didn't really understand why I was there and without looking at any of my X-rays claimed that I do not have scoliosis. I already had been told by two previous doctors that I do and it was confirmed again this week via a cat scan. He did not examine me and was adamant that there is no scoliosis and there is nothing he can help me with. I will be seeing a different orthopedic surgeon this upcoming week.
I believe Dr. Thompson is a good doctor-I could not recommend him to anyone due to the attitude of the office. I was told by Dr. Thompson to call if ANYTHING changed before my next appointment. It did and when I called I was told I would just have to wait until Dr. Thompson returned (that would have put me waiting AT LEAST a week and a half.
I have a new diagnosis of Osteonecrosis of my right knee and now both hips...my primary doctor has been the one to order the xrays and MRI's. Pain=9
