This content was provided by Dr. Guey Jr "When deciding on the appropriate dental care, it is important that the patient make the final decision. This can only be done after a comprehensive dental evaluation is performed and documented. Treatment options and finances must then be discussed and all questions must be answered to the patient’s satisfaction.
It is also important that the treatment be provided in a comfortable atmosphere with the least amount of treatment provided in order to get the most stable result. Providing treatment that stabilizes the bite and ensures the teeth can be cleaned daily is our job. The patient’s job is to keep the teeth clean, report any problems and make regular maintenance visits. This not only reduces risk but also reduces dental costs over a lifetime. Following this protocol leads to a more predictable and stable treatment result and a stronger more trusting relationship. That is our goal - and it is attainable."
