Dr. Stanley was born and raised in Seattle. He attended Nathan Hale High School graduating with honors in 1972. After receiving a degree in Zoology he attended the University of Washington Dental School graduating in 1981. After graduation he worked part time in community dental clinics and as an associate dentist while he worked to establish his own practice. Opened in June of 1982 his office has grown in to a very successful patient oriented dental practice. In addition to his dental practice Dr. Stanley was asked to help teach at the Shoreline Community College Dental Hygiene School. For the last three years he has been helping teach restorative procedures to the hygiene students on Thursday afternoons. He is a member of the Seattle King County Dental Society, the Washington State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. In pursuit of an ongoing dental education he is a member of the Jet City Study Club and regularly attends Dental Continuing Education Classes covering all aspects of general dentistry. Staying active is very important to Dr. Stanley. Some of his favorite activities include running, skiing, hiking, and camping. Playing competitive volleyball is by far his preferred activity as he competes regularly at a local level and travels to national championship tournaments twice a year to play against some of the best players in the country at the Masters level. While at home he enjoys woodworking and remodeling his home. His family is often times woken up early by the sound of a power saw starting up.
