Dr. Smith's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Smith "Dr. Matthew Smith relocated from California in 2012, where he was fortunate to have worked alongside his father, James, a fellow pediatric dentist and orthodontist of more than forty years. Dr. Smith received his Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington and a Master's Degree in Oncological Sciences from University of Utah. Changing career paths, he graduated from the University Of California San Francisco School Of Dentistry in 2004. After graduating in 2004 Smith was commissioned as an active duty officer practicing as an Army dentist while stationed overseas in Germany. After ending his commitment to the Army, Smith was accepted to the pediatric residency program at Children's Hospital Michigan. FUN FACT: Dr. Matt worked as a deckhand on a salmon fishing boat in Alaska for 3 summers. These were some of the most exciting and miserable times of Dr. Matt's work experience. They did create some fine and lasting memories!"
