Dr. Sloane offers CEREC 3-D technology to place single visit ceramic crowns. No second visit is needed for a broken tooth. This means no temporary crown or messy impression required. Dr. Sloane uses a camera to scan an impression. Your crown is designed on our computer. A block of durable ceramic material is selected and placed in our milling unit. This CAD-CAM technology is similar in function to a 3-D printer. Your crown is finished in minutes and ready for placement without the need for an outside dental lab.
Dr. Sloane has over 12 years experience placing CEREC crowns and inlays. USA Today recently reported that scanned dental impressions are just becoming more common in dental offices. Most offices will still send this digital impression to an outside dental lab. Dr. Sloane takes time to select technology that offers the most benefits in patient care and comfort. Our continued commitment to digital technology sets Dr. Sloane's office apart with quality care that means you spend less time in the dental chair. CEREC is covered by insurance.
