Dr. Rogers' bio

This content was provided by Dr. Rogers "Dr. Rogers loves the amazing opportunity to work with our junior, teen, and adult patients to achieve incredible smiles that will last a lifetime! It is Dr. Rogers' goal to help create a healthy, beautiful smile for each patient in a warm and caring environment. She additionally strives to deliver the highest level of personalized care and will go above and beyond for each patient and their family. Dr. Rogers is a native North Texan, born and raised in Plano, Texas. She attended The University of Texas at Austin on academic scholarships and graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Biology with University Honors. She returned to Dallas to continue her education at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was on the Dean's Honor List each semester. After four years of dental school, she chose to specialize in orthodontics and was selected to attend one of the top orthodontic residency programs in the country at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry (just like Dr. Elvebak!). She completed her three year residency of additional specialist training to earn her Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master's degree in Oral Biology. After becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Rogers earned an additional certification to become board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics – a distinction held by fewer than 1 in 3 orthodontists. Candidates are required to demonstrate achievements in patient care and the highest level of excellence in the treatment they have provided for a range of complex patient problems. Additionally, the individual orthodontist completes a thorough examination process by an expert panel with regard to orthodontic knowledge and clinical skills. Becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics signifies a unique achievement and honor, and is a large step beyond the three years of advanced education required to become a specialist in orthodontics. Outside of the office, Dr. Rogers enjoys spending time with her husband, Shane, and her sister, brother-in-law, and niece who live in Frisco. She also loves playing sand-volleyball, trying new restaurants, traveling, and getting involved in the community."
