Dr. Kelly McKnight, DMD

I had a fear of dentists for years. But Dr. McKnight and her Staff went out of their way to put me at ease and now I am much more comfortable going to the dentist. I had a cracked tooth and was having pain/discomfort. I was referred to Dr. McKnight by a trusted friend who has seen Dr. McKnight for 20 years. She is professional with a very friendly competent staff behind her. She was efficient and swift to diagnose and relieve my pain, and saved my tooth. I would highly recommend her. I sent my nephew to her when he broke his tooth. He now travels from Orlando to see her on a regular basis for his six month cleanings. We are very pleased with Dr. McKnight and her staff. I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years and I broke a tooth. I work in Ocala but had heard great things about Dr. Kelly McKnight in The Villages. I called her office and they scheduled an appointment for me immediately. She was extremely professional and very nice. She fixed my tooth and the entire process from start to finish was painless. My family has been going to Dr. Kelly McKnight and she is very sweet and professional. And little to no wait time. Office is ran very smoothly.

When I sat down in the chair, before any work was started, I asked Ashley to make sure my insurance covered the annual check up and xrays. She checked and said yes. After the cleaning and x-rays, I was charged $320.00, because they told me they do not do the billing. Then when I got home I checked and found they did bill and that I was given incorrect information and that they were an "out of network provider" who charged way over the customary charges that AARP Advantage Plans pay. I called their office and was referred to the Accountant's office, Maureen I believe her name was, who literally and unbelievably, hung up on me after talking over me. I would NEVER recommend this unprofessional office, and I am a certified Medicare counselor, an attorney, have Parkinson's Disease and am a strong believer in integrity being what one should rely on. My family has been seeing Dr McKnight for years. She is trustworthy and compassionate. Her staff is delightful. There is also little to no wait time.

I felt deceived. While she is friendly and seems professional, she sent me to a specialist who told me YES I agreee, you do have a loose tooth and we never do root canals on loose teeth. She should have known that. The specialist charged me a lot of money for a 30 second visit. I returned to Dr. McKnight and suggested she compensate me for this NEEDLESS visit (like a free cleaning or a reduction on my bill). She refused so I felt like she was greedy and not really looking out for her patients best interest.

The Office Manager is nasty and doesn't work with new patients well. Got to the appointment 15 min early to fill out all the paperwork. Did not bring a list of medications for the patient and thats when all hell broke lose. Would not allow us to send it in or have someone email it right away. Mary; the office manager just got nasty and determined for us to leave.

I have been going to Dr. Knight for 7 or 8 years and she is the best dentist I have been to. She is professional and does very good work. Her staff is the best. Actually I have moved to the east coast but still go back for my cleanings and 6 mo. check up.

Dr. Mcknight is one of the most professional and friendly dentists I have ever been to. Also, lets not forget about her staff, they are amazing!
