Dr. John M. Ukich was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and attended Gonzaga University. He completed his dental school education at Marquette University in 1971, only to continue with a 2 year post graduate residency in Pediatric Dentistry. He then spent 5 years in the U. S. Army, with assignments in Southern Germany and Kansas where he also served as a Pediatric Dentistry teaching mentor for a General Dentistry Residency Program. He came to Coeur d' Alene in 1978 and has been practicing in the same location to this date. He achieved board certification in his specialty in 1985 by successfully completing the four part American Board of Pediatric Dentistry certifying examination. He is currently on the hospital staff at Kootenai Medical Center. Dr. Ukich has served in dental missionary trips to San Salvador and Russia. He has coached little league baseball in the community for over 12 years. He has also served in numerous service organizations.
