Dr. Fenster's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Fenster "I was born in Brooklyn, raised in Rockville Centre and then attended Franklin and Marshall College (the best 4 years of my life, as I like to say). I graduated with a degree in Environmental Biology. While there, I had several research papers published and was awarded a National Science Foundation grant to study stream pollution. It led to my serving on the NSF Grant Committee as its student member. It was a fascinating experience. After deciding on a career in dentistry, I attended University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. While there, over our freshman cadaver, I met a classmate from California, who also was a musician. He and I performed every other Friday night throughout our student days at Penn at a club downtown Philadelphia and were even mentioned in "the Best of Philly" by the Inquirer. I was awarded the Teaching Fellowship in Endodontics at Penn and then entered the Post Doctoral Program in Endodontics. After graduation, I became a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept of Endodontics, where I taught in the Graduate Clinic, for 7 years. Also, immediately after graduation, for one entire year, I worked in the practices of 2 fellow faculty members, and although I learned much and was offered partnerships, I elected to open my own place up in Princeton, a center of culture in New Jersey. I wanted to pursue that dream of enjoying practicing as I felt was most appropriate: patients come first. I have been included in New Jersey Magazine's Top Dentists, most recently 2018 and been recognized as member of America's Top Dentists by the Consumer Research Council for a number of years (including this past). Plaques are nice, but it's all about relationships. Through the years, I realized that there are 2 very important things that I can control in my practice: the music and patient comfort. I have been playing piano since the age of 5, was offered admission to Juilliard, but did not attend. My lovely, elderly Scottish piano teacher told me to give up sports and girls and practice 4hours a day...so, it was a no brainer. I played many instruments in many groups from HS onward. I even joined Local 802, the famous Musician's Union of Greater New York. I may have played at your wedding. I also recently played a few gigs and worked with Chubby Checker and Charlie Gracie. I try to get a few tunes in a day, at home, and one of my guitars is always available, in my office. Speaking of passions, I am also the Sports Director at WIMG Radio. I cover the Phils, Yanks and the Trenton Thunder. It is an avocation that truly is a "labor of love"...(no pay), but I take it very seriously and spend quality time forging relationships with the athletes. That's what it's all about. Our Stellar Award Winning Station works hard to provide "good things", spiritual and actual, for our listeners and the city of Trenton. Moving on to exceptionally important things: I believe that my patients are the only priority in my practice. It is gratifying to hear that I was able to help in any way...from performing Endodontics or removing a wedged seed that was causing nagging discomfort. It's my job and obligation to be dedicated to that. I will always do my best to make the office visit as comfortable, pleasant and entertaining as permitted. There are people (who need to get a life) who actually said that they enjoyed their time with us, were glad they came and the experience was wonderful. Take that all with a grain of salt. If you really want to tell me how it went, you can often find me after hours, at the Starbucks Marketfair, relaxing and attempting to solve the problems of the world."

Terrible endodontist. Did root canal in the wrong tooth and would not take any responsibility for his mistake. Invented a story to cover his mistake. At first meeting initially pleasant but turned dismissive and unconcerned. He was clearly not paying attention to what he was doing. Very...more

It's been many years since I moved to Florida and have yet to find a dentist in dr.
