Dr. Quayle's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Quayle "Dr. Cam grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ben Lomond High School and Weber State University. While at Weber State he had the opportunity to play tight end for the Wildcats football team. In 1998 he was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL and earned the title of "Mr. Irrelevant," the last person selected in the NFL draft each year. He spent time with the Baltimore Ravens, the Barcelona Dragrons (of the NFL Europe) and the Jacksonville Jaguars. After a neck injury in Jacksonville he made the decision to stop playing football and pursue dental school. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry where he served as student body president and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Originally pursuing a career in oral surgery Dr. Cam loved the challenge and reward of working with the kids in VCUs pediatric clinic. Because of this Dr. Cam changed his focus and began to pursue a specialty in pediatrics. Following dental school Dr. Cam attended Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah for a 2 year residency in pediatric dentistry. During this residency he received additional training in behavior management, sedation and treatment planning to work with children. Since he graduated from his residency Dr. Cam continues to teach the pediatric dental residents at Primary Children's Hospital. He oversees the sedation training received by the residents. Dr. Cam is married and has 2 daughters and 2 sons. He enjoys traveling, mountain biking, snow skiing, and staying active. He also enjoys working with children and providing them with a positive and enjoyable dental experience. Each child he treats he asks himself, "What would I do if this were my child?" By doing this he is able to treat each child with the absolute best care possible."

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Quayle "Our goal is to treat each patient as we would our own children. We strive to treat them with patience, compassion and with an understanding for what they may be thinking. We believe in a gentle approach and are sensitive to the fear and anxiety that a child may have towards dentistry regardless of his or her age. Our goal is to help kids enjoy coming to the dentist and look forward to their check-ups by providing an overall positive experience."

Dr. Quayle after a very expensive oral sedation procedure told us that he would call to check on our child that evening. Dr. Quayle nor anyone from his office ever called - not that night or anytime after. A few weeks later when we called the office with other questions & concerns, & the staff said...more

I'm sorry you feel this way. I routinely call my patients each day to check on them and make sure your questions have all been answered. Unfortunately I occasionally get a bad number, a child who answers the phone and hangs up or a "voice mailbox not set up" message. In regards to the call a few weeks later: Our staff is great at getting me messages. Unfortunately I did not receive your message. I apologize you did not feel you received the quality follow up we strive to offer.
