Dr. Cook's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Cook "Dr. Brandon Cook was born in Texas and grew up in the mountains of Utah. Following college and a two year mission trip to Berlin, Germany, he moved to Columbus and earned his dental degree, summa cum laude, from the Ohio State University. He remained at OSU to complete a three year residency and received his specialty certificate in orthodontics and Masters of Science degree. Dr. Cook joined Hutta & Cook Orthodontics in 2005 and shares with Dr. Hutta the distinct honor of being a diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics. When not helping patients achieve beautiful smiles, Dr. Cook is busy with family life and enjoys skiing, fishing, horseback riding, and spending time outdoors. He resides in Powell with his wife, Jill, and their three children. Message from Dr. Cook: I’m grateful to be an orthodontist because I love what I do. I have the pleasure of creating beautiful smiles for some of the kindest people in our community and I get to work along-side a talented and extremely competent staff. Orthodontics is my passion and I truly enjoy the patients and their families, my business partner, Dr. Hutta, and the amazing staff we work with every day. Dr. Hutta and I take great pride in providing APPROPRIATE treatment at an IDEAL time. It doesn’t get any better than being there when the braces come off, seeing our patient look in the mirror for the first time and watching as a beaming, beautiful smile come across their face. I find it imperative to stay at the forefront of technology and the advancements in orthodontics so we can provide the highest level of care. I’m a member of the prestigious Ormco Insiders, a group limited to a few hundred orthodontists in the world. This group helps develop tomorrow's technology in orthodontics and membership allows our practice to be amongst the first to utilize these advancements."

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Cook "My practice philosophy is to treat at the appropriate time depending on the orthodontic problem. This may require a treatment plan that will be carried out in two separate phases. The first phase may begin while a child has both permanent and baby teeth to take advantage of skeletal growth and development. The second phase of treatment is then started once a full dentition is present. This concept is important because in many cases, if orthodontic treatment is delayed until all permanent teeth are present, you will miss the window of opportunity to affect facial growth that might be a contributing factor to the dental malformation (problem). The only way to determine which type of orthodontic treatment is the most appropriate for your child is to schedule a complimentary exam. During this examination it will be determined and thoroughly discussed which treatment approach will be best for your child."
