biography: <p>Tathyana Fensterer MD, PhD</p> <p>Dr.Fensterer is originally from Brazil where she was trained in Plastic surgery and worked as an attending in her own private practice. She is a member of The Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery. In 2005, she met Will Fensterer, a Louisville native whom she ultimately married, and moved to the US in 2008. She then dedicated 12 extra years to repeating her training to allow her to practice as a plastic surgeon in the US. She received a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Louisville and successfully completed (repeated) general and plastic surgery residencies.</p> <p>Dr Fensterer brings aunique international outlook to Louisville that includes the high standards and natural look of the Brazilian Plastic surgery tradition combined with the knowledge of old and the new practices in the field.
