Biography: Shahrzad Taavoni, L.Ac, Dipl OM, M.A.T.C.M, B.S. trained and excelled in the one of the most rigorous Acupuncture programs in the country. She received her Masters degree in California which has the highest standards for education and examination in the country. She completed her 4 years Masters degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Los Angeles, California in 2006. She has complete 191 units with a total program hours of 3,375 hours. She is a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She has also received extensive training in traditional Chinese herbology with over 450 hours of course education from Yo San University and has been trained in Five Element Acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel, Maryland. She has received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland College Park. Mrs. Taavoni has been practicing Acupuncture for over a decade and comes from thirteen generations of medical doctors and practitioners. She has had extensive training in qi cultivation including Tai Qi, Qi Gong, Pranic Healing and Reiki.
