Nature of Complaint:
Obtaining, maintaining or renewing or attempting to obtain, maintain or renew a license to practice medicine by bribery, fraud or misrepresentation or by any false, misleading, inaccurate or incomplete statement is grounds for initiating discipline against a licensee.
Action Taken:
Based upon the foregoing Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law, and good cause appearing therefore, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that: Respondent shall be issued a public reprimand; Respondent shall pay a fine of $5,000.00 for each violation found above for a total of $10,000.00, to be paid to the Board within one hundred twenty (120) days of the date of this Order; Respondent shall pay the costs of investigation and prosecution of this matter, totaling $5,887.16, to be paid to the Board within one hundred twenty (120) days of the date of this Order; Respondent shall attend and participate in twelve (12) hours of Continuing Medical Education in Medical Ethics and/or Ethics and provide proof of attendance to the Board; and, Counts I and IV of the Complaint are dismissed.
