His surgical skill changed my life. I no longer have ANY of the symptoms -- numbness, burning sensation in legs, pain when standing or walking -- since the surgery. Relief was immediate. 8 weeks, to the day, after surgery, and I'm walking 2-3 miles regularly. It's a joy. Sloan was my 2nd "second opinion," so I saw 3 doctors. Waited for over 2 hours each to see the 1st two. Not only did not wait more than a few minutes, but Dr. Sloan came to the waiting room personally to greet me.

I saw Dr Sloan for a herniated disc. He performed surgery in a timely manner, but I contracted a Staph infection from the surgery. When I continually complained of increased pain after surgery, he dismissed my complaints. He refused to see me in his office, and a month later I was in the ER with discitis. The infection had begun to travel up my spine and I nearly died before I received any form of treatment. Dr Sloan continued to dismiss my complaints of pain even after the diagnosis of discitis

From my recent experience you must be in severe pain before you actually get to see Dr. Sloan. Even if you have a scheduled appointment with him, you will more than likely just see a NP. It was a complete waste of time to go there. The Dr. that read my MRI had a completely different opinion than the NP did. I guess Dr. Sloan was much too busy to see me, but I bet the billing is the same as if I would have actually seen him. Be careful!!!!
