William Osler, the famed English physician revered as the father of modern medicine, once said "if you listen to your patient long enough, he will tell you what's wrong with him."
It begins with listening, understanding of the patient and the person. Evaluation is comprehensive and detailed, to obtain as much information about the state of health as is relevant and feasible. Treatment is aimed at restoring a healthy state of homeostasis (balance) through specific changes in diet, daily activity and sleep patterns, supplements, bioidentical hormones, and, if necessary, medications.
