The physician also admitted that he wrote prescriptions that resulted in the illegal distribution of approximately 45.6 grams of schedule II controlled substance, over 40,000 units of schedule III controlled substances, and over 40,000 units of schedule IV controlled substances between year 2003 and June 2007. The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky – Northern Division accepted the physician’s plea of guilty and he was found guilty of one count of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance, a felony, on or about October 26, 2009.

      Action Taken

In the event the physician violates any term or condition of the Order, the Board may institute whatever disciplinary action it deems appropriate.

      03/10/2010 – Board Order

Based on the physician having been convicted of one felony count of Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance and no hearing requested, the State Medical Board of Ohio has Permanently Revoked the physician’s medical license.
