
Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden is a regional referral center known for providing the most sophisticated levels of care. For nearly 60 years, the medical center has been committed to enhancing the health and well-being of southern New Jersey’s residents, particularly those most in need.
Sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, N.Y., Lourdes is a 410-bed teaching hospital. It is particularly known for the New Jersey Heart Institute at Lourdes, the largest provider of cardiac services in southern New Jersey and Philadelphia; the Regional Perinatal Center for high-risk mothers and infants; the Lourdes Stroke Center, certified as a Primary Stroke Center by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services and by the Joint Commission; bariatric, or weight-loss surgery, certified as a Center of Excellence by the Surgical Review Committee of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery; the Southern New Jersey Dialysis Center; the Center for Organ Transplantation providing kidney, pancreas and liver transplants; and the Lourdes Regional Rehabilitation Center.
