
JFK Memorial Hospital, part of Tenet California, is a 156-bed acute care hospital located at 47111 Monroe Street in Indio. The hospital has been providing medical care to residents in the Central/Eastern Coachella Valley since 1966.
The hospital offers a 24-hour emergency room, JFK Orthopedics hospital-licensed clinic (in La Quinta), orthopedic, general and vascular surgical services, cardiac and vascular care, urology services, NICU, women’s and maternity/obstetrical services; and a range of other inpatient and outpatient services.
In April 09, JFK opened a second cardiac cath lab to expand its cardiology services program. In October 2009, JFK added the following new services: an 11-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a 20-bed Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Unit for patients 65 and over who require specialized care during their acute hospital stay. Our campus extends across Dr. Carreon Blvd. to include Sedona Outpatient Surgery Center.
JFK Memorial Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency.
JFK exceeds the Centers for Medicare and Medical Services (CMS) national, state and local averages for quality care.
Other Awards Include American Heart Association’s Get-With-the-Guidelines, Gold Performance award for both Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and Heart Failure (HF) 2009-2010, and the first and only hospital in Coachella Valley to receive the double Gold designation. AHA GWTG is a hospital-based quality-improvement program designed to ensure that hospitals consistently care for cardiac and stroke patients following the most up-to-date guidelines and recommendations. Those hospitals marking 85 percent compliance for 24 consecutive months are given the Gold Performance Achievement Award.
