Thomas Morand, MD, specializes in external beam radiation treatment, prostate seed implants, high dose rate therapy (HDR), partial breast radiation and intravascular brachytherapy. Not only was he and his partners the first to introduce “intensity modulated radiation therapy” (IMRT) to a community setting in the Greater Cincinnati area, but also “image guided radiation therapy” (IGRT) in the form of ultrasound assisted localization daily for patients with cancer of the prostate. He has been a guest lecturer for many associations and societies in the Tri-State area and continues with his appointment as a member of the physician advisory board for the Wellness Community of Cincinnati.
Dr. Morand has served as President of Medical Staff of Mercy Mt. Airy Hospital. In addition to his responsibilities as Medical Director of the InterCommunity Cancer Center, he also served as the Medical Director of Mercy Hospital Anderson from 1994 through 2001.
Dr. Thomas Morand is a graduate of The University of Notre Dame where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati and his residency in Radiation Oncology from University of Cincinnati Hospital. He is board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American College of Radiology.
