Dr. Harwin is Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Chief of Adult Reconstructive Surgery (Total Hip and Knee Replacement), and the Bloodless Surgery Program in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center.
He is a designer of total hip and total knee prostheses and instruments that have been implanted in more than 1 million patients world wide. He is a member of the editorial board of several publications, including the Journal of Arthroplasty, Orthopedics and the Journal of Knee Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American College of Sports Medicine and The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
