Patient / Medical Philosophy: I joined Midwest Nephrology Consultants in 1986 after completion of my medical training at Albert Einstein Medical School in New York and the University of Kansas School of Medicine. My outpatient nephrology practice is predominantly in Eastern Jackson county and will soon be expanding to include an office in Leawood, Kansas. My emphasis in the office is focusing on addressing my patients’ individual questions and concerns regarding their medical problems. I have created a team approach of availability and attention to patient education with the assistance of my dedicated LPN, Julie. I particularly allow extra time for new patients in order to lay a groundwork of trust and potential hopefulness in one’s adapting to living with chronic medical problems. Although the complexity of each of my patient’s medical problems vary from benign hypertension to complications of a kidney transplant, I pride myself on giving the same amount of attention to each patient regardless of the individual’s diagnosis.
