Patient / Medical Philosophy: I am a surgical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of breast cancer. My particular interests include the psychosocial aspects of breast cancer, management of women at high risk of developing the disease, and newer surgical techniques, including sentinel-node biopsy and skin-sparing mastectomy. As breast-cancer treatment has become less focused on radical surgery and more focused on multimodality care, I believe coordinated care at a dedicated cancer center like Memorial Sloan-Kettering is essential. Bringing this high-quality coordinated care to Long Island is my aim at MSKCC Commack.
