Patient / Medical Philosophy: I treat a variety of spine ailments including herniated and protruding discs, slipped discs (spondylolisthesis), arthritis (spondylosis and stenosis), and scoliosis. The great majority of my patients successfully respond to conservative therapies (ranging from physical therapy, activity modification, and anti-inflammatories to epidural steroid injections). If these do not succeed, a variety of minimally invasive procedures may be recommended to directly address the problem. I strongly believe in taking the time to get to know my patients prior to making any surgical recommendations. When surgery is neccessary, my success rate is extremely favorable, upwards of 80-95% in even the most difficult of cases. The percentage of favorable outcomes is even higher in more straight forward cases such as lumbar and cervical herniated discs.
