Dr. Braxton is an established, board-certified general surgeon and critical care surgeon with a specialty interest in minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery. Her thyroid/parathyroid practice features:
• Surgery under local/regional anesthesia for selected patients
• Cosmetic approach with very small surgical incisions for thyroid and parathyroid operations
• Preoperative radiographic imaging of parathyroid tumors for directed parathyroid surgery
• Intraoperative Parathyroid Hormone (PTH) measurement to increase accuracy of parathyroid surgery
Our medical offices are located in the Sutherland Institute at KU Medical Center, at Level 3A from the parking garage across the street from the main entrance of KU Hospital (on Cambridge Street). After you have parked on Level 3A of the garage, please proceed through the glass enclosed entrance to our medical offices beyond the south end of the garage. Our receptionist will validate your parking ticket as you sign in for your appointment. Validating the ticket allows you to pay only $1.00 of the parking fee.
Additional Transportaion Information:
If there is no parking on Level 3A you may park on Level 4. There is a stairway entrance at the south end of the garage that leads you down one flight to the door of the Sutherland Institute.
