- Joydeep Ghosh, MD, FACC is an Attending Electrophysiologist of the Division of Cardiology at Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Ghosh earned his Medical Degree at Nilratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital in Calcutta, India, and received his cardiology and electrophysiology training at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He performs a range of electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker and ICD implantations (including biventricular devices) and ablations of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias. Dr. Ghosh’s research topics of interest include atrial fibrillation, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and primary prevention of sudden death. He has published extensively in national and international journals on these as well as other topics. Dr. Ghosh is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is also a marathon runner and competes regularly in various races throughout the country and abroad.
