Patient / Medical Philosophy: Dr. Lane graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honors and Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC. While there he was selected for membership into Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Medical Degree from the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC, where he was twice honored with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellowship. Dr. Lane completed an Internship in Internal Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC and his Residency at the Department of Radiation Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Upon his Board Certification, he became an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also was an instructor of Radiation Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Lane is a highly regarded board-certified radiation oncologist. He specializes in gynecological and breast cancers in addition to general radiation therapy. He has extensive experience with Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and with High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy. His previous appointments included Kent County Memorial Hospital and the Maddock Center in Warwick, RI for over five years. He joined the practice of Radiation Oncology Associates from Providence, RI in July of 2008 and will provide professional services at Signature Healthcare Radiation Therapy Center in Brockton, MA.
