
Nature of Complaint:
The physician fraudulently issued a prescription for hydrocodone in his wife's name and obtained the drug for his personal use. The physician pled guilty and on 05-17-1991 was convicted in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York of acquiring possession of a controlled substance. The physician on 10-11-1991 was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to undergo drug and alcohol counseling.
Action Taken:
The board has Revoked the physician's license to practice medicine in the State of New York.
