Lisa Esch
Vice President, Professional Services
Ms. Esch joined HealthGrades in June of 2008 and manages the Professional Services Delivery team in the U.S. Southern Region. With over 20 years of health care administration, business development and clinical experience, she came to HealthGrades with vast understanding in helping hospitals transform their business models.

Ms. Esch is a visionary leader who identifies and capitalizes on innovative business growth opportunities and market strategies. She has a proven track record of defining and implementing state-of-the art process improvements, resulting in increased revenue and mutually beneficial client-partner relationships.

Prior to joining HealthGrades, Ms. Esch was the Activation and Planning Director at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, HealthONE in Denver, Colorado. She was responsible for the overall activation of a new children's hospital within a hospital, which included a six-hospital system integration plan, pediatric sub-specialty physician recruitment strategy, and new program deployment.

Ms. Esch also has an entrepreneurial spirit, having led her own successful health care consulting practice for 11 years. She has a BS Degree in Human Nutrition and Food Service Management from the University of Nebraska and began her healthcare career as a Registered Dietitian.

Kim Fortner
Vice President, Professional Services
Ms. Fortner is a Vice President of Professional Services at HealthGrades, where she works closely with hospital leaders nationwide. With her strong business development and marketing background, Ms. Fortner helps hospitals successfully improve physician-hospital relationships, increase revenue, expand market share, and build their brand.

Ms. Fortner uses her knowledge and experience to develop and implement strategic approaches to quality and transparency with her client hospitals. Ms. Fortner enjoys working with key health care stakeholders and she recognizes the unique challenges that are inherent to today's health care environment.

Ms. Fortner brings 16 years of health care business development and strategic marketing expertise to her clients. She has a proven track record in a variety of areas including: developing corporate branding strategies, patient retention and referral programs, website redesign, advertising, public relations, direct marketing programs and internal communications initiatives designed to educate and emphasize major strategic initiatives. Prior to joining HealthGrades, Ms. Fortner was an account group director for an advertising agency where she specialized in health care accounts. Ms. Fortner has also held business development roles in larger physician organizations.

Ms. Fortner graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She recently obtained a Six Sigma Greenbelt certificate from Villanova University.

Anthony Del Vicario
Director, Professional Services
Mr. Del Vicario is a Professional Services Advisor working with over 20 hospitals and hospital systems across the nation to support their marketing, business development and quality improvement efforts.  In  this role, Mr. Del Vicario consults with his clients’ senior leadership teams, marketing and public relations executives and quality personnel.

Mr. Del Vicario brings 20 years of progressive leadership experience in health care and the life sciences where he has worked with pharmaceutical, medical device and natural products companies, often with hospitals as his direct customers. His functional expertise includes: marketing, product management, sales, business development and strategic planning. He has developed a broad technical and scientific knowledge base and has extensive knowledge of marketing and distribution channels including hospitals.

Mr. Del Vicario holds a Master’s of Science in Management from Stanford University where he attended the Graduate School of Business as a Sloan Fellow. He earned his B.A. in the Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Del Vicario is a member of the Colorado Bioscience Association and was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2004 for his work on the Colorado Bioscience State Growth Plan.

Chris Turner
Director, Professional Services
Mr. Turner serves as a quality improvement, business development and marketing consultant for HealthGrades’ client hospitals.  In this role, Mr. Turner works closely with more than 20 hospitals nationwide providing strategies to drive hospital’s business development initiatives.

Mr. Turner brings 15 years of health care consulting and account management experience to his position at HealthGrades.  His background includes teaching disease state management strategies in academic medical centers and developing marketing programs for medical centers and pharmaceutical companies.  He has proven operational experience in women’s health care, orthopedics, endocrinology, and primary care.  Mr. Turner has worked with over 100 hospitals, focusing on programs to grow market share, drive quality assessment and improvement, and integrate strategic marketing and business development initiatives. 

Mr. Turner graduated from the Metropolitan State College of Denver with a B.S. in Marketing with a concentration in Business Law.

Mary Sweet
Senior Client Executive, Professional Services
As a Professional Services Consultant with HealthGrades, Ms. Sweet works with more than 35 hospital partners nationwide to help them effectively drive market share growth through  superior clinical quality, leverage business negotiations with payers and employers, and utilize HealthGrades’ analysis for internal quality improvement.

Ms. Sweet came to HealthGrades with over 14 years experience in business development, sales consulting and customer relationship management.  Her industry experience in health care has encompassed strategic outpatient services for health systems and hospitals. With her strong business development background, Ms. Sweet continues to assist hospitals in physician-hospital relationships, building brand awareness and fostering revenue growth with clinical quality as the foundation.

Prior to joining HealthGrades, Ms. Sweet worked for four years as a Business Development Manager for Health Inventures, LLC, a developer and manager of ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.  Her work was focused on marketing and opportunity development for joint venture partnerships between hospitals and physicians.  She participated in many conferences and seminars that focused on outpatient trends and technology that increased the service offering to the community.

Ms. Sweet holds a B.S. in Education with a Minor in Science from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Darcy Liebhauser
Senior Client Executive, Professional Services
Ms. Liebhauser serves as a business development and marketing consultant for HealthGrades’ client hospitals.  Ms. Liebhauser works closely with more than 30 hospitals nationwide providing strategies to drive hospital’s business development initiatives to grow profit margins, increase patient volumes, and enhance physician retention.

Ms. Liebhauser brings 10 years of health care experience to her consultant position at HealthGrades.  Her background includes marketing/public relations experience, creative design, product development, project management, and health care data analysis.  Over the years, she has personally worked with over 100 hospitals, focusing on programs to assess market share, drive quality assessment and improvement, and integrate strategic marketing and business development initiatives. 

Prior to joining HealthGrades, Ms. Liebhauser worked with GE Medical Systems Healthcare Solutions to create and implement new business solutions for hospitals.  She handled gathering and analyzing data, utilized measurement tools to determine data trends, and reported market analyses to senior leadership at hospitals.  While at GE, Ms. Liebhauser was trained in Six Sigma. 

Ms. Liebhauser graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Communications with a concentration in Business.

David Thompson
Client Executive, Professional Services
David Thompson works with over 30 hospitals across the nation assisting with their marketing, business development and quality improvement efforts.   Mr. Thompson consults with his clients’ senior leadership, marketing, public relations and quality personnel to provide strategies to improve the hospitals’ profit margins, improve quality outcomes and increase employee loyalty.  To meet his clients’ goals, Mr. Thompson works to improve communication within the organization and helps with implementation of proven best practices.

Mr. Thompson brings more than nine years of clinical and business development experience to HealthGrades. He has an extensive background in Emergency Medicine as an EMT-P and Medic.  He has served as a clinic supervisor during his six years of military service. Prior to HealthGrades, Mr. Thompson was a vital part of implementing an electronic health record system, improving physician relations and ensuring that active duty personnel, along with retirees, received the best health care available.  Mr. Thompson most recently worked as an account executive helping organizations streamline processes and improve their bottom line.

Mr. Thompson received a B.S. degree from Touro University in Health Sciences and is currently working on his Master of Science in Health Care Administration at Regis University in Denver, CO.
